About Muscat Blanc

Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains is one of the oldest and most aromatic white grapes in the world. Known for its intense grapey aroma, floral perfume, and sweet citrus flavors, Muscat Blanc is grown in a wide range of styles—from dry and still to lightly sparkling (Moscato) and fully sweet dessert wines.

It goes by many names depending on the region: Moscato Bianco in Italy, Muscat Blanc in France, and Muskateller in Germany and Austria. This grape is particularly associated with Moscato d’Asti, a gently sparkling, low-alcohol wine from Piedmont, and Muscat de Beaumes-de-Venise, a luscious fortified wine from France’s Rhône Valley.

Despite its historical prestige, Muscat Blanc is undergoing a revival, especially among younger wine drinkers seeking aromatic, low-alcohol, and accessible wines.
